Tiny pots for tiny flowers for tiny joys! These teeny, tiny vases are one of my favorite things to make! Inspired by the beauty in smallness, I hand-throw these little vessels for all those little blooms we might find. These creations are about looking closely and encourage making sweet, minuscule bouquets part of your routine.
Nature has always had a great influence on my work, not always obvious, but a consistent presence. In this case, these tiny pieces are heavily inspired from a find in my garden. During a stressful week in late spring, with little time for much else then work, food and sleep, I decided I needed to put things on hold and spend 3 hours in the garden to breathe, be in the sun and catch up on weeds. As I was pruning my lavender, I found an incredible mud vessel created by a Potter Wasp. (Look closely in the images below!) My mind was blown. This was one of the most beautiful things I had ever seen in my life! Nature is stunning and perfect and it was a powerful reminder that I needed to take the time to witness it. I think about that little mud vase often and was inspired to try making my own teeny, tiny vase.
